\nI think yellow journalism is still used alot today. I actually think that it is used more today then it was back during the Spanish-American War. Yellow jounalism is basicaly when the media downplays the truth or just lies about it. Yellow journalism is used when something bad happens and the goverment dosent want the public to know the real truth. It is most recently used with celebrities and stuff like that....","dateCreated":"1272140635","smartDate":"Apr 24, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"cpushistory","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/cpushistory","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}},{"id":"23311099","body":"Jenny Glenn
\nYellow journalism is still used today and is what makes people want to read. It influenced US participation in the Spanish-American war by letting them no what was happening during the war. They selled magazines and newpapers being very eye catching for more profit. Newspapers, Newsites, and television stations still over exaggerate even the tiniest things for publicity and money. Even ordinary people do it as a way to get attention. But back in the time of the Spanish American War, it influenced America's participation in the war, because the media made it seem so much more unrealistic then it really was.

A.K.A now. It is mostly used for selling papers, by as we say it nowadays "hyping" every minor thing wrong, while cleverly hiding the bug things.
\nBig issue; you never know what is truth, and what is lie.
\nTruth was very hard to find, while lies were spread world wide, you could never really trust what you read.
\nIt was just a money making tactic.
